GEDP Global

GEDP connects territories, institutions, and experts from different regions to promote the development of energy district systems adapted to diverse urban and industrial contexts. Since its origin in Colombia, the programme has evolved into an international network that now carries out activities and technical assistance processes in Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia, with a presence in Colombia, Morocco, and Vietnam. GEDP facilitates the exchange of experiences, the development of local capacities, and the design of roadmaps that enable progress from planning to the implementation of integrated energy solutions across multiple countries.

Main Objectives of GEDP:

- Promote global standards and technical cooperation by establishing regulatory frameworks and guidelines for district energy.

- Support emerging countries in integrating public policies and developing pilot projects that demonstrate the technical and economic viability of Energy Districts.

- Foster regional and international partnerships to share knowledge and accelerate innovation.

- Promote inclusive and sustainable solutions by incorporating gender, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction criteria.
